Wellness Community

This past weekend, Remember This Day was a proud sponsor of the Wellness Community of Delaware's (along with the Delaware Comedy Theatre) "Antoinetta and Mickey's Wedding" (think Delaware's version of Philadelphia's "Tony and Tina's Wedding").  It was held in Dewey Beach at The Bay Center- which is a FABULOUS venue located right on the beach- and the ballroom offers some breathtaking views of the ocean!  Also noteworthy- the favors at our table were so unique and fun!  Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (based in Lewes, DE) had chocolate COVERED mini wine bottles!!  If you're at a loss for a guest favor for your upcoming wedding... definitely look into these really creative options (maybe they can even put your names or monogram instead of the angel flourish?!)  

I was very excited to be a sponsor to such a GREAT cause- and the turnout was phenomonal!  Over 175 guests showed their support on Saturday night!  The show itself was hilarious- and definitely "spoofed" some "stereotypical" (although rare!) wedding day issues (Maid of Honor always a bridesmaid never a bride scenerio, In-Laws disliking one another, etc)... it was quite entertaining!

Per their website, the Wellness Community of Delaware's Mission Statement says it all:

"The Wellness Community - Delaware is dedicated to helping people with cancer and their loved ones by providing professionally led programs of emotional support, education and hope as an integral part of conventional medical treatment. More than 80% of the money we raise goes directly to programs, and all of our programs are provided free of charge."

If you're interested, you should definitely look into attending one of their fundraisers!  It's such a wonderful cause- and unfortunately, cancer has touched many of our lives- this organization is so important!
